L Series XRF
The L Series is Bowman’s most versatile instrument. It combines all of the features of the P Series with a larger sample chamber and greater X-Y stage travel. For samples larger than ~10 inches (254 mm) in any direction, the L Series is a must-have. The large sample stage and travel allows both large parts, or large sample fixtures holding multiple parts, to be measured. The chamber is fully enclosed with a chamber size up to 22″ (559mm) x 24″ (610mm) x 13″ (330mm). The X-Y stage travel distance is 10″x10″ (254mm x 254mm).
Often, the selection of an XRF comes down to our P Series – or L Series. The performance and features are the same; chamber size is where they differ. This short video can help you decide which will work best for your test requirements.
The standard configuration includes a 4-position multiple collimator assembly, and a variable focus camera for measuring recessed areas. As with other models, the collimator sizes and focal distances are customizable. The programmable X-Y stage is included which allows for a chamber Z-height of 10″ (254mm). Optionally, the stage can be removed to allow for the maximum chamber Z-height of 13″ (330mm). An SDD detector is included, along with our long-life micro-focus x-ray tube.
