Study Uses Bowman’s P Series XRF System

March, 2022 – Experiments and published articles on various topics related to materials science often use Bowman XRF systems for precise plating thickness measurements and plating bath analysis.

Most recently, a notable study titled “Optimisation of Thiourea Concentration in a Decorative Copper Plating Acid Bath Based on Methanesulfonic Electrolyte” used a Bowman P Series XRF system. Like all Bowman XRF instruments, the P Series uses a solid state detector for highest resolution, low baseline noise and high overall stability. The study was published by Coatings, a peer-reviewed journal of coatings and surface engineering published monthly by MDPI.

Judge to Speak at MI NASF

March, 2022 – Brian Judge, Midwest Technical Sales & Support Engineer, will be the featured speaker at Michigan NASF’s meeting, Saturday, March 12 at historic Paddock Place in Grand Rapids. His talk will cover XRF Capabilities, Limitations and Considerations.

Bowman Expanding Into New World Headquarters

February, 2022 – On September 1, Bowman will formally open a new global headquarters at 1105 Remington Rd., Schaumburg, IL. The 20,000 sq.ft. facility near Chicago will house corporate offices, manufacturing and product development.

Bowman is a leader in the development of XRF plating thickness measurement systems, and the only “made in the USA” XRF instrument manufacturer. Bowman exports aggressively to customers throughout Eurasia, the Middle East, and the Americas through a robust network of regional hubs and distributors. The company also services XRF units made by all major manufacturers, and provides standards for all XRF applications.

Bowman Launches 2022 Show Season

January, 2022 – Ryan Ahrens, Zach Dismukes and Rob Coleman greeted customers and prospects at IPC APEX in San Diego. APEX is the premier event for the electronics manufacturing industry, attracting more than 9,000 professionals from 45 countries.

Bowman XRF instruments are used and exhibited throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia. Next on our trade show agenda: the Kerala Jewellery show, Feb. 11-12 at the Le Meridien, Maradu, Kochi, in southwestern India.

Bowman Expands Applications Engineering Team

January, 2022 – Ryan Scheck has joined Bowman’s Headquarters Team as an Applications Engineer. Scheck has a B.A. in Physics from Kenyon College. His hire was influenced by demonstrably strong quantitative problem-solving skills, and understanding of complex x-ray physics.

He will work with Bowman’s R&D and engineering teams to develop new features or capabilities that would make the Bowman suite of benchtop XRF instruments more valuable to more users. He will also become involved with the international sales team to understand the needs of new customers and identify solutions to their operations issues such as sample throughput, and new application requirements, such as the rapidly changing developments in the semiconductor industry.
